How to Play

  • The object of this Roman themed game is to build your deck of cards and collect your Army and War items to construct your Castrum of worthy men; making choices from the specialist dice to wage your campaign. Commanders fight with 1-12 sided dice. Captains fight with 0-9 sided dice and Cannon Fodder with 1-6 sided dice. The total throw deciding the outcome but it’s not that clear cut as players may hold cards with added bonus points to let the greenest of recruit defeat the hardest boiled General. All it takes is clear planning, good tactics, strong strategies, and a nice slice of luck. Wipe out those who dare to stand against you. Claim your honour in victory for the Glory of Rome!

When one Castrum gets to within one square of an opponent’s Castrum either player, on their next turn, engage the other in War in the following ‘Battalions’ against an opponent’s Battalion. The challenger and defender take their chosen Armies off the board and assemble their dice.

The winner is the one with the highest score after Bonuses who puts a matching Army

Battalions are made up of 9 men and equipment totalling not more than 49. Battalions can be combined.
