At the start of the game each player receives their Song Sheet and set of Note Cards face down; one of four sets which are the notes in the key of either C, G, A or E. (this can be expanded, but these are the most common ‘Pop’ chords). They put their marker on the Start Square on the board. The object of the game is to collect enough Note Cards by taking turns throwing the dice and collecting from their pack to fill in their Song Sheet. When a player has filled in their Song Sheet they play their tune Players lay their card onto their Song Sheets one card at a time in the ‘squares’
- A BLUE square means that note is followed with a pause
- Pairs of RED squares means those two notes are played in quick succession
- A Green square means that note is played TWICE
- A Black square means no card is laid in that square
Pause the note, play notes in quick succesion, repeat or don’t play at all, this game is all about igniting your childs passion for music by creating a brand new tune all of their own. So, if this were the Song Sheet the player picked they would need to collect 15 note cards. If these were the cards picked A, B, G, F, E, A, C, G, A, C, D, C, E, F, E the tune would go (notice the A, C and E the player playing in the key of ‘C’ has stolen!)
1st bar A, B, pause, G and F quickly
2nd bar E, A, pause, C and G quickly. Repeat 1st bar
3rd bar A (played twice) C, D. Repeat 1st bar
4th bar C, E, F, E
There’s an endless variety of Song Sheets that will also include three beats to the bar
